Greenland Is More Than Just Oil

It's quite possibly America's survival

It’s always interesting to me how the vast majority of people think in terms of 1’s and 0’s. In their minds, it’s binary. Zero-sum.

Examples: Ukraine bad, Russia good. Or, the reverse. United States bad, rest of the world good. Or again, the reverse. Only Baptists go to Heaven, Catholics aren’t real Christians and are going to Hell. Or, of course, the reverse.

It’s much more complex than that. Ukraine and Russia are BOTH bad… or more specifically, Zelenskyy and Putin are both bad, but they appear to want what’s best for their own countries… so are they both good? How about America and the rest of the world? Are we bad? If you think so, then get out. Are all Catholics going to Hell? Really?

Here’s a contemporary example. The United States wants Greenland’s oil. Period. (See the quote above). But Trump isn’t just thinking about that. He’s thinking strategically. Putin is dangerous. ALL empires are dangerous, always have been. So, do we just crawl back in our hole of America and pray Russia, and China, don’t continue to expand their power? Seriously? Has anyone looked at a map? What’s between us and Russia?

To be fair, Michael Snyder, who wrote the article linked above, did indicate the strategic importance of Greenland, but his military commentary was way below the fold, and almost seemed like an afterthought.

The best defense is a good offense. If we DON’T expand, and wrap in OUR OWN HEMISPHERE, we will be destroyed. China is already working on this in earnest. We are buying Chinese products and funding our future destruction. China’s puppet, Russia, will absolutely take advantage of that. So, do we annex Greenland, and utilize this enormously strategic landmass to protect ourselves from Russian naval assets, like their subs that have been discovered off our East Coast (How the F did that happen?)… or do we rely on our little base in Scotland? How about protecting our northern flank with annexation of Canada? We do these things to protect ourselves AND utilize the massive natural resources, because without those, we will collapse. Why do you think Russia and China want them so badly? Mmm?

The United States is an Empire. It always has been, and, as long as we survive, it always will be. Get over it. If you don’t like that, then check out Yemen, or the Solomon Islands. Oh, wait, Russia owns Yemen and China owns the Solomon Islands. Huh. You think you hate living under the thumb of the American Empire? Imagine living under the boot of China’s.

The very first step in surviving a war is staying alive to fight. Despite what delusional leftists and Legacy media would have us believe, China and Russia are significantly improving their military power. They are not doing this because they are afraid of us. They are doing this because they intend to kill us and take our stuff. Divide and conquer. Don’t be stupid. Communism doesn’t care about your feelings. It doesn’t care about your families. It cares only about replenishing their resources with what YOU have produced.

Acquiring Greenland would be strategic brilliance. Reclaiming the Panama Canal would be strategic brilliance. Acquiring Canada would be economic and strategic brilliance. You think there’s no oil in Canada? You think it wouldn’t be smart to protect ourselves along the entirety of the Arctic ocean? As a side benefit, we also protect the Canadians, and protect Greenland for Greenlanders.
