Artificial Intelligence And The Big Tech Industrial Complex
We need to prepare now to survive seismic shifts coming to employment, healthcare and our way of life.
Artificial Intelligence, or AI, is here to stay. Some think it’s the greatest thing since Al Gore invented the internet (LOL), others think it is the rise of the Antichrist. Most aren’t really thinking about it at all, but they should, because it’s going to affect them profoundly in the next couple of years. What we’re going to address here is how those of us who live a prepared lifestyle must consider the ramifications of Artificial Intelligence, to Artificial General Intelligence, then finally to Artificial Super Intelligence on our lives going forward. Only with this knowledge will you have a chance to survive in the amazing and terrifying new world that is almost upon us.
Proponents argue that AI will greatly simplify our lives. For instance, it might help doctors enhance the accuracy of their diagnostics on their patients. It can help improve the quality of education, both for our youth and those of us who are well past college. Some say it can perform sophisticated autonomous tasks, such as driving, and reduce accidents. It can even enhance interactions with customers to reduce hold times at various agencies and businesses.
What isn’t being said in the sales pitches and investments in AI systems is how many jobs will no longer be needed once AI hits full mainstream. Accountants? Lawyers? Consultants? Even loan officers and real estate professionals? How many of the tasks performed by these professionals can be handled by a computer? The truth is, very nearly all of them. Some of the tasks are obvious, like accounting. Even lawyers will become obsolete (maybe that goes into the proponents column, IDK). Consultants? You know, those high-priced guys who examine your business and make suggestions as to what can be improved? Sure, a great service before AI, but now very nearly obsolete. You can just feed your business data to Grok and get the same, or even better recommendations in ten minutes for very nearly free, rather than the several hundred thousand dollars your inept cadre of senior vice presidents now pay the same consultants so they can keep their jobs. Even real estate agents can be replaced by a personal AI assistant that can search the homes, check their availability, set appointments, and provide the lockbox codes so you can go house shopping at your convenience and on your terms.
Home builders. Okay, houses can’t be built by machines or AI robots, right? Watch this…
With the astronomical rise in AI technology, the issue is about how many jobs will no longer be needed. What will those people do? Could that be YOUR job? Really? You MUST ask yourself this… what do you do that a computer, or an AI robot, cannot do, faster, and more accurately? Are you sure? If you’re honest, that question should have been a gut-punch.
Perhaps you have a job that requires you to use your hands, like an auto mechanic, or a plumber, or an electrician. Indeed, those jobs would be difficult to replace with AI, and if that is what you do, you are WAY ahead of the game. In the United States, however, that is generally not the case. Factory jobs can be replaced by robots… indeed this is already underway. Doctors’ offices are using AI now to receive calls, schedule appointments, and transcribe conversations. Customer service across all industries and businesses is being replaced by AI. Retail salespeople are being replaced by kiosks. Between AI and online shopping, the shift from interacting with actual human beings to placing orders with a few clicks on your keyboard or your phone has been profound, and is increasing at a nearly exponential rate.
Below is a chart of the largest occupations in the United States.
So, some of these occupations are going to be difficult to replace with AI, for the moment, such as home health and personal care aides and registered nurses. If that’s what you do, you’re probably okay for awhile. The rest? You decide… use your imagination and try to figure out how safe those jobs really are. I’ll wait.
Even surgeons can, and are being replaced with sophisticated systems that can do microsurgery with a great deal more accuracy than the most skilled practitioners. What does that mean? Well, fewer mistakes and accidents. Would you trust your open-heart surgery to a machine? Maybe not yet, but it won’t be long. How about endoscopic surgery of any kind… you get the idea.
Okay, so you work on a farm… that will always require actual people to harvest the food, right? Maybe not…
A new berry-picking robot gripper developed at the U of A could give growers a high-tech replacement for limited labor availability.
The U.S patent was issued in April to the U of A for the invention “Soft Robotic Gripper for Berry Harvesting.” Technology Ventures, part of the Division of Research and Innovation, secured the patent.
Now, AI has to be trained. There will always be need for programmers… oh wait, AI can now write it’s own code, and errors are becoming fewer and fewer. Sorry coders, your skills will no longer be needed. How about training machines to work in warehouses? That will be self-extinguishing, kind of like certain entertainment companies forcing workers to train their foreign replacements, except now they’ll be training machine replacements that never eat, never get sick, never get pregnant, never create havoc for personnel and HR directors, and only require basic maintenance, and, if they’re designed well, the maintenance can be done by maintenance bots instead of humans. Once trained, they can self-train, and they already do. This is being done quietly, and is generally not talked about on any of the mainstream media, and very little elsewhere, because most people simply do not realize or understand the existential crisis facing the vast majority of Americans.
It’s not a pretty picture. Are you prepared for this? Are you at least thinking about it? How long do you have to come up with a solution, if indeed your job, your career falls into one of the many categories that can be done with AI and machines? The answer is probably much less time than you imagine. Now, we must also remember that if AI takes over most jobs, that means that people won’t be working, which means they won’t be earning money, which means they won’t be participating in the economy to buy products and services that are now handled with AI.
This will, over time, be somewhat self-correcting, one way or another. In a previous article we discussed President Trump’s “Private Health Tracking System” which, although voluntary (at least in the beginning) will put all of your health records in the hands of big tech. Are you okay with that? Most will be, since they put every other bit of their lives on social media and in the hands of big tech. What this plan does, however, is put in the hands of big tech AND big government. Some suggest that the government already has all of that. Of course, but not in an organized and easily digestible format. The Private Health Tracking System will change that. From there, is it such a leap to consider that, at some point, President Trump, and other America First and Freedom First leaders will no longer be in power? What happens then? Does anyone believe that if the communists regain power that they will not take that information, and establish something like a Health Credit Score, similar to China’s Social Credit Score? Play that scenario in your mind through to the end, understanding that the communists in our government no longer even hide their intentions to de-populate the world. People with diabetes, or cancer, or asthma, or osteoporosis, or disabilities of any kind, will no longer meet the minimum Health Credit Score and will be denied access to life-saving healthcare. What if you refuse your government-mandated vaccinations? Same thing. Suppose you’re in your 80’s, but otherwise very healthy. Think your age won’t be factored into your score? Anyone remember the discussion on “death panels” during the Obamacare debate? How about in 2016 when Hillary Clinton renewed the idea with a panel to determine who could and who could not receive medicare-funded prescription medications? Yes, that was real. You can read all about it here. Great Britain already does this. Except now, they can remove themselves from blame by attributing such decisions to their AI model, which you agreed to comply with when you checked the box allowing your doctor to input your personal medical data into the Private Health Tracking System. DON’T CHECK THAT BOX.
Now you know the risks of AI to your very existence. What can you do about it? Plenty. This article is originally posted on a site that promotes Decentralization and Freedom. If you don’t do these things already, unfortunately you’re behind. Way behind. It’s time to start, and if you wish to survive the coming age, you MUST do these things now.
1. Learn to grow your own food.
This is not easy. It takes work, and ingenuity, and some land. Consider hydroponics for at least some of your produce… that is by far the easiest and most efficient way to grow survival food. The learning curve for growing life-sustaining food is much steeper than people imagine, and beginning gardeners and farmers will have failures, such as insects, plant diseases, deer, and other varmints, despite their best efforts. Make your mistakes now, before failure leads to starvation.
2. Learn a skill that cannot be replaced by a machine.
Think plumbing. Or electricity. Or septic pumping. Home repair. Landscaping (yes, landscaping… why? because ticks and snakes live in tall grass and you definitely don’t want Lyme disease or a snakebite). Woodworking and furniture repair. How about important skills you already have… Are you a dentist? Get a set of tools you can keep at home, just in case. Small engine repair? Got your workshop set up? Learn how to make bread. Whatever can be traded for something you don’t have and cannot provide for yourself.
3. Preserve your health.
No more sugary drinks. They’re gross and bad for you. No more high-fructose corn syrup. Eliminate sugar as much as possible from your diet… sugar feeds cancer. That includes booze. Stop smoking, drinking, and eating processed meats. Just stop.
4. Eliminate all debt.
Our vehicles are 25 years old. They’re STILL paid for. Can you say that? How about your house? Figure it out. Credit cards? Learn to live with less, and pay those nasty things off and close the accounts.
5. Learn how to maintain your home, your vehicles, and any machines you have, especially if they help you grow your own food.
These skills are not as difficult as you think. Utilize available tools, like online videos, to learn how to repair a toilet, fix a leak, repair your dishwasher, and clean your gutters. If you require a tall ladder to repair your house, IT’S PROBABLY TOO BIG. Sell it and live in a smaller house. You really don’t want to fall off a ladder.
6. Learn medical skills, especially first aid.
Can you stitch an open wound? Got iodine and isopropyl alcohol to stop infections? Antibiotics? Know how to treat a wasp sting? Do you have any 4 inch gauze pads? Bandaids? Take a class. Watch some videos. Read books. Learn what the most common accidents are, and have a way to treat the injuries. Can you set a bone? Yeah, fun stuff like that.
7. Develop a community of like-minded people, and share your skills with them, and learn from them.
This is self-explanatory. Do this in meatspace, not online. Online communities are like online chat rooms. You want to know REAL people.
8. Become proficient in self-defense. You have no idea how important this will be as people start to lose their jobs and become hungry and desperate.
This is also self-explanatory. Just watch the local news for one night. Afraid of firearms? Your enemies aren’t.
9. Get out of the city. By whatever means necessary. Think higher altitude… this is for many reasons, some of which will be discussed in future articles.
The higher up you are (within limits, of course) the harder the bad people have to work to get to you. There are other reasons too… stay tuned.
10. Buy printed (not electronic) books on preparedness.
We’re not going to recommend any specific books in this article… you need to do your own homework, but be sure they cover all of the above suggestions.
11. Consider alternatives to fiat currency, and get rid of credit cards.
Precious metals come to mind…
12. Stop putting your life, your photos, photos of your children (we should NEVER have to even say that) up on social media. Just stop it.
The only people who care if you just had a burrito for lunch happen to work for the government. This should be self-explanatory. For those of you who use social media just to communicate with your grandkids, you’re a lousy grandparent. Do better.
13. Support businesses that have like values.
You don’t have to agree on everything, but stop supporting propaganda-driven businesses that still think global warming is a thing and that it’s okay to be woke. Up to you, but if the cashier has blue hair and a nose ring, that’s a clue.
14. Downsize.
In the future most of your time will be spent growing food and surviving. It’s difficult to do that and keep a 4000 square foot home with eight toilets clean. Self-explanatory.
15. Never, ever give up. Very soon, the day you give up will be the day you die.
AI can have many uses. We used it here for some of the images. You can use it now to help develop a plan taking these items, and others, into consideration. At some point in the future, if we don’t destroy ourselves, or allow Artificial Superintelligence to take over (yeah, think movies like War Games and The Terminator), AI may help us to improve our lives and reach for the stars. In the meantime, it may destroy us. We purposely didn’t get into the seedier topic of AI companions and relationships. Some things should be obvious. We also did not get into the controversial topic of integrating man with machine. Is there a place for that? Perhaps, in situations to help people walk again, or maybe to see for the first time. Unfortunately, we do not believe that is what big-tech is working toward. Instead, we’re spiraling toward creating a race of super-humans, or perhaps super-soldiers, and the destruction of the barrier that separates sapient life from artificial constructs. That will lead to enslavement of the human race and is an affront to God, and nothing good can come from that.
Fear mongering? Yeah, we’re not even close to imagining the evil that awaits us if we continue along our current path. Consider what you’ve just read, and let us know your thoughts in the comments.
